Reginnova NE, the Innovation, Technological Transfer, Human Resources, and Community Support Association, organized, at FaLab 3, the “Reawakening Style: The Rise of Sustainable Fashion” workshop on May 22, 2024. The event brought together young entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and students interested in the fashion industry.
The workshop aimed to unite the Reginnova community and deepen our understanding of the barriers and challenges faced in transforming business practices and redesigning business models. Participants engaged in detailed discussions, focusing on the impact of fast fashion brands on consumer perspectives and the success of small enterprises. Notably, competing with fast fashion brands remains a challenge, and true sustainability often requires large companies to revolutionize their production processes for greater durability.
During the workshop, we delved into the repercussions of fast fashion brands on consumer behavior and the environment. Larger companies wield significant influence over the industry’s environmental impact, necessitating shifts toward more sustainable production methods. Additionally, attending students explored the complexities of being environmentally conscious consumers in a society still learning about the true meaning of sustainability and the fashion industry’s real environmental footprint.
The engaging discussions culminated in a networking session, where participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into sustainability topics and strategies for thriving in this competitive market.
