Threads of Tomorrow: Stronger and Better Together Workshop

Reginnova NE, the Innovation, Technological Transfer, Human Resources, and Community Support Association, hosted the “Threads of Tomorrow: Stronger and Better Together” workshop on April 5, 2024. The event brought together 20 participants, our focus being emerging designers and entrepreneurs from the textile, leather, and crafts sectors.

The workshop served as a vibrant hub for community interaction, uniting creative minds in the textile and fashion industry in a safe space. Participants were encouraged to engage in lively discussions, sharing insights, challenges, and innovative ideas. By connecting new designers and entrepreneurs, Reginnova NE aimed to create lasting relationships and opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

During the workshop, Reginnova gained valuable insights into Romania’s fashion and textile industry. The North-East region faces unique challenges. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lack access to financing and financial assistance, hindering their growth potential. Legislative changes discussed during the event are shaping a sustainable path for consumers and companies. However, without government support, businesses may struggle to implement necessary changes and survive in the market. These insights were key for us to take steps in providing the necessary support t SMEs and to advocate for their needs at a regional level and more.

Throughout the workshop, we aimed to emphasize the importance of educating consumers about sustainability, circularity, and the true value of ethical fashion. Participants recognized the need to raise awareness among consumers, encouraging responsible choices and supporting local businesses committed to ethical practices.

We, at Reginnova NE,  remain dedicated to driving innovation and positive change in the Fashion and TCLF industry and aim to continue to create a vibrant and thriving environment for all creative minds.
