Building a smarter, local and circular textile ecosystem
The ALADIN Project (Advanced LocAl and Digital Innovation Network for Circular Garments) is a four-year Horizon Europe initiative bringing together 10 partners from six European countries to transform the way garments are designed, produced and recycled. Coordinated by the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research (DITF), ALADIN is creating the foundations for a more resilient European textile industry through digital innovation, circular business models and local-for-local production.
At the heart of the project is a shared vision: enabling sustainable textile production through regional collaboration, digital services for SMEs, innovative recycling technologies and locally sourced, renewable materials. By connecting existing expertise and infrastructure, ALADIN aims to make circular manufacturing both practical and economically viable.
Reginnova NE’s role
As the Romanian innovation association in the consortium, Reginnova NE contributes to stakeholder engagement, ecosystem building and the dissemination of project results. By connecting SMEs, innovators, researchers and regional stakeholders, Reginnova NE helps ensure that the knowledge, tools and opportunities developed within ALADIN reach the wider textile and fashion community.
The project also includes Open Calls that will actively involve SMEs, start-ups and other ecosystem actors, supporting innovation in digital services, automation and manufacturing technologies across Europe.
Shaping the next generation of European fashion
ALADIN is more than a research project; it is building the foundations for a new generation of digitally connected, circular and locally produced fashion.
By combining innovation, collaboration and practical industrial applications, the project aims to strengthen regional value chains, reduce textile waste and accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable European textile industry.
